What FOE-Tools is

FOE-Tools gathers the calculators and planners I wish I had when I played Forge of Empires: Great Building investments and leveling order, Guild Expedition tracking, goods trading, campaign costs, and more. Every tool is free, works without an account, and is available straight from your browser.

The site welcomes roughly one to two million visits every month, from players across 23 languages. You keep full control: no account is required to use a tool, and an optional free account only syncs your saved setups across your devices.

A bit of history

FOE-Tools has been rebuilt from the ground up twice. Each version kept the same goal, faster and more reliable tools, while moving to a sturdier foundation.

1. v1

   v1, the first calculators

   The very first version was built with Marko. It proved the idea: players wanted quick, trustworthy numbers without spreadsheets.

2. v2

   v2, Nuxt 2 and Strapi

   The second version moved to Nuxt 2 with a Strapi backend. It grew into the tool suite most players know today.

3. v3

   v3, a complete rewrite

   This version is a full rewrite. Calculations now run on the server for accuracy and consistency, the code is typed end to end, and the interface is translated into 23 languages.

Mission and values

I build FOE-Tools for players, not for advertisers. Three principles guide every decision.

Free and accessible

The everyday calculators stay free and need no account. Some heavier tools that cost real computing time, like the upcoming City Planner, may run on credits or a subscription so the servers can keep up, but I will always keep a free way to use FOE-Tools.

Respectful of your privacy

I use cookieless analytics that do not track you across the web. You are a player, not a profile to resell.

Open to translation

The interface is community translated. If you speak a language I do not cover well yet and want to help, everything happens on the Help translate page.

Who is behind the project

FOE-Tools is designed, built, and maintained by me, Quentin Dauprat (Yoratheon in game), a French Forge of Empires player, and published by Krytos SASU, a French company. It is an independent project: I decide what gets built, and I answer your messages myself.

How the site stays free

Running the tools costs money. I keep them free for everyone by combining three sources, none of which locks a calculation behind a payment.

• Advertising, shown to visitors on the free plan. It covers the servers so the tools can stay open to all.

• Supporter and Premium subscriptions, which remove ads, raise limits, and help fund new features.

• One-time donations, for when you simply want to say thank you.
